A final-year-design-project (FYDP) team supervised by Prof Ricky Lee has won the "Energy Institute Best FYP" prize, a joint-university project competition. The winning project is a 09-10 FYDP, "Development of LED Backlighting for McDonald's Logo Signs", with team members of Li Chi Yeung (Team Leader), Hon Ka Chun, Low Chuan Keat and Ma Jun.

The award will be presented to the students during the Energy Institute's annual dinner on 22 October 2010.
