RGC Postgraduate Students Conference on

      Mechanical behaviors of nanomaterials & nanostrucutres

With the rapid development of nanotechnology, research on the mechanical behaviors of nanomaterials and nanostructures is of both academic and practical significance. Combined with the 8th International Conference on Fundamentals of Fracture (ICFF VIII), a postgraduate-students-organized conference on “Mechanical behaviors of nanomaterials and nanostructures” will be held 3-7 January 2008 in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, China.

International eminent professors will be invited to give special talks on advanced scientific and technological researches on the fundamentals of mechanical behaviors of nanomaterials and nanostructures. A poster session will be held for the PG students to present their latest research results. The best posters will be selected and awarded by the excellent poster awards.

The main objective of this PG conference is to encourage research PG students to participate in a high-level academic conference, to keep pace with the most advanced technologies, to exchange ideas, to meet face-to-face and have discussions with world-class scholars, and to improve communication and presentation skills.

This conference is open to ALL postgraduate (PG) students from different institutions in the multiple disciplines of mechanics, physics, materials, electronics, etc. The PG students will participate in ICFF VIII and have ample opportunities to meet and communicate with many distinguished guest speakers.
